Leipzig, June 29, 2020 – ALVARA | Digital Solutions (a brand of ALVARA Holding GmbH, formerly CMH GmbH), which specializes in track & trace software solutions for the cash cycle and logistics, continues to grow. New to the group of companies is IT Kompetenz GmbH with retroactive effect from 1 January 2020. ALVARA | Digital Solutions is thus adding a Hamburg-based software company to its portfolio, which for 25 years has stood for the successful development of innovative, field-tested and secure software systems in the field of value logistics and distribution. Applications for controlling, monitoring and optimizing cash logistics processes ensure seamless communication between CIT providers, financial institutions and retailers. These include intranet-based administration systems and the CashEDI connection to the Deutsche Bundesbank.
“With the integration of IT Kompetenz GmbH into our group of companies, we are creating valuable synergies for our product portfolio, for example in the area of cash center software, track & trace solutions or main cash station software,” says Bernd Hohlfeld, Managing Director of ALVARA Holding GmbH. “Our existing and future customers will benefit from our growing corporate strength and competence.”
For existing customers, the advantages are obvious: They appreciate both the enhanced digitalization and automation of their processes and the addition of new services to the portfolio, such as the monitoring of smart safes, digital driver receipts, ticketing or the centralization of master data.
The acquisition of IT Kompetenz GmbH also focuses on maintaining and expanding ALVARA | Digital Solutions’ European market leadership in cash handling and the digitalization of cash processes and the networking of all parties involved.
“International customers as well perceive us as a software provider that creates Europe-wide standards. . Nevertheless, local contacts are available for them by our group of companies,” explains Bernd Hohlfeld. “Together with the employees of IT Kompetenz GmbH, we want to continue our sustainable growth strategy of internationalization. In doing so, we will focus on expanding our product portfolio for cost-efficient and secure IT solutions in the interest of our customers”.
IT Kompetenz GmbH will continue to appear with its own company name and its accustomed appearance. The existing contracts between the company and its customers will continue to run seamlessly. The contact persons (incl. function + contact details) will also remain the same. “All services will be provided as usual”, assures Matthias Schick, managing director of IT Kompetenz GmbH. “At the same time, our customers now benefit from the expertise of the entire ALVARA | Digital Solutions group. This is a great added value for all who are involved! We are looking forward to work with our new colleagues,” adds Thomas Vietze, second managing director at IT Kompetenz.
Thomas Vietze has also been appointed as the second member of the Managing Board of ALVARA Cash Management Group AG and Co-Managing Director of ALVARA Holding GmbH with immediate effect.
ALVARA | Digital Solutions is now adding IT Kompetenz solutions to its product portfolio. This will be followed by joint appearances at relevant industry events such as CashCon and security in Essen.
In addition to the acquisition of IT Kompetenz GmbH, there are also new information regarding the naming of CMH GmbH. With immediate effect, the company will be renamed ALVARA Holding GmbH and will continue to be present on the market with the “ALVARA | Digital Solutions” brand.
