Leipzig, 26/01/2022. ALVARA | Digital Solutions, together with GS1 Germany, the EHI Retail Institute and the BDGW, invites you to the next CashCon in Leipzig. After the originally scheduled event date in January had to be postponed due to Corona, the new date for this year’s CashCon has now been determined. The event, which is firmly scheduled among cash experts, will now take place on September 7 and 8, 2022. The event location remains the Felix im Lebendigen Haus at the old central post office, right in the center of Leipzig. At the CashCon, countless cash industry experts will report on the latest developments.
“Cash is the most common payment method in Germany. Digitization and changing purchasing behavior are, however, creating a change in payment trends. The Covid-19 pandemic has unsettled retailers and customers alike, and driven the process of digitization. At CashCon 2022, we use this background as a jumping off point from which to consider the future of cash together,” explains ALVARA | Digital Solutions Managing Director Steven Schwarznau.
The participants can expect exciting expert talks, valuable ideas from the cash industry and strategies to deal with the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic. Breakout sessions will play host to lively discussions surrounding automation, sourcing strategies for financial institutions and efficiency in cash logistics. The event also offers countless networking opportunities as well as the chance to discuss with experts, speakers, exhibitors and cash industry players. Sponsors present their solutions and products in the interesting and innovative exhibition area.
The varied CashCon 2022 program is equally aimed at commercial enterprises, financial institutes and cash-in-transit operators. Up-to-date topics take center stage:
– What changes are expected in cash supply and disposal?
– Which new ideas have been implemented? And have they proven useful?
– How can the use of cash be encouraged?
– What role do costs play – and how can these be reduced?
Burkhard Balz, member of the board at the Deutsche Bundesbank, tackles changing user expectations regarding payment methods, the formation of digital ecosystems and possible additions to cash services in his expert talk “The Digital Euro – An Opportunity for Europe”.
Ulrich Binnebößel, department head of Payments & Logistics and Online Editing at the Handelsverband Deutschland – HDE e.V., considers the changes affecting cash use and explains what kind of role cash will play in the future in his talk “Cash in the Digital World – Establish Strategies Now”. He also takes a look at national cash strategies and the impact of governments and society.
“We are immensely happy to welcome visitors to our headquarters in Leipzig. After our ALVARA INNOVATIONSTAGEN, we are now finally seeing another cash conference in the beautiful trade fair city of Leipzig. We are also glad that discussions and collaborations are once again possible in person,” says Steven Schwarznau.
