Trade fair Stuttgart relies on ITR POS solution from ALVARA | Digital Solutions for efficient ticket sales

Leipzig, 07.05.2023. Every year, the Stuttgart Trade Fair welcomes several hundred thousand visitors to 120,000 m2 of exhibition space. In order to optimize the sales process at its own events, the company has added a new ticketing module to the ITR POS cash register solution from ALVARA | Digital Solutions that it already uses: the ITR POS Ticketkasse. With this module, the leading European software provider for track & trace and POS software solutions offers a solution for trade fairs, special exhibitions, museums or amusement parks that overcomes tedious processes at the ticket office. The focus is on creating a smooth experience for visitors with the help of versatile and innovative ticket machines.

Offering guests a successful day at the trade fair - this is probably the top priority for most trade fair organizers. Above all, this means avoiding long queues and being able to offer modern, flexible options for purchasing tickets.  In order to meet these requirements, Messe Stuttgart has been relying 100% on self-service solutions with ticket machines and software from ALVARA | Digital Solutions since 2022. Since the end of June 2022 until today, the company has processed around 140,000 ticket sales at six locations in Germany with the ticket vending machines used. Around 800,000 visitors in 2023 benefited from a fast, self-explanatory sales process at the ticket machines. "This is because they can buy, pay for and print out their tickets themselves at our kiosk systems without any instructions," says Steven Schwarznau, Managing Director of ALVARA | Digital Solutions.

Individual admission tickets with relevant information can be printed out easily via the ITR POS ticket office. The various types of day and multi-day tickets are also available at the individual terminals. Thanks to the integrated design templates, organizers can adapt the ticket layout to the individual trade fairs. This means that visitors not only receive an informative ticket, but also an admission ticket that visually contributes to the successful overall image.

Saving time and a ticket machine that is easy to use: these were the requirements with which Messe Stuttgart approached the ALVARA team. "It quickly became clear to those responsible that our ITR POS ticket counter, which we developed together with our subsidiary it relations, would meet these requirements. It also offers control. The automatic allocation of ticket numbers ensures that every ticket sold is unique. This simplifies administration as well as the entire sales process and access control," explains Steven Schwarznau.

Over the past two years, the Baden-Württemberg company has been able to achieve one thing in particular with the ALVARA ticket office: greater speed at the ticket machine for the numerous visitors.
