New user interface: Pecunia 7 shines with a modern, streamlined design

Turning old into new: It all began with the generational change from Pecunia 6 to Pecunia 7 – our cloud-based cash center software solution. The idea was quickly followed by the next steps. This included designing the user interface (UI) for our users with a mix of the old and the new.

Our goal: your optimal user experience

The cloud-first approach has motivated us to further develop Pecunia. At the same time, it was an opportunity to set another focus: improving the user experience. For our Pecunia users, this does not entail any major changes. We have adopted tried-and-tested structures such as the structure of tables and masks. This means that familiar processes can be found again. In future, however, users will benefit noticeably from an improved and modernized design. In Pecunia 7, we have removed everything that was unnecessary – two fields here, a tab there and so on. The result is a much clearer and leaner interface.

In order to make our software solution as user-friendly and intuitive as possible, we used a template from Vuetify for the implementation. We paid particular attention to the user interface and its elements. In this way, we ensure consistent usability and a uniform appearance in all areas.

Design system as a technical base

A look at the details: Technically, we have opted for a design system. This is a collection of recurring rules, components, styles or principles, which in turn bring advantages for developers and users. The design system enabled us to standardize the look and feel of Pecunia 7 and create consistency. A stable and tested basis for each new function ensures that quality remains high. Scalability is another advantage of design systems.

Ultimately, our users also benefit from these seemingly pure development benefits. The bottom line is that aspects such as “uniformity” allow us to implement updates more quickly and ensure reliable operation.

User benefits – with a modern UI

Our customers are always the focus of further developments and optimizations. Every improvement should not only be a step forward for us, but above all make work easier for our users. That’s why, when developing Pecunia 7, we took care to retain tried-and-tested functions from Pecunia 6 and combine existing processes and structures in a more modern design with a better user experience.
